چکیده
Biobased materials, derived from biomass building blocks, are essential in the pursuit of sustainable materials. Eugenol, a natural phenol obtained clove oil, but also lignin depolymerization, possesses chemical structure that allows its easy modification to obtain broad and versatile platform biobased monomers. In this Perspective, an overview variety reactions have been executed on allylic double bond, hydroxyl group, aromatic ring, methoxy group is given, focusing our attention those monomers suitable for different polymerization reactions. Furthermore, possible applications perspectives eugenol-derived materials provided.

Promising polymers.
We have compared the effects of a and recombinant y interferons (IFNs) on the growth of human lung cancer cell lines in vitro. There was a diversity of response amongst the lines studied, the most sensitive being COR-L23 (a large cell anaplastic carcinoma line) and POC (a small cell line). In these two lines. IFN-y was found to be more potent than IFN-a. During cell growth of line POC in the pr...

Reaction of excess cyanide with a ruthenium(VI) nitrido complex bearing a tridentate Schiff base ligand produces a novel tricyanoruthenium(III) complex in which nucleophilic substitution of an imine hydrogen of the Schiff base by cyanide has occurred, this complex is a useful building block for the construction of 3d-Ru(III) magnetic materials.

Angiogenesis plays an important role in tissue remodeling and repair during the late phase of inflammation. In the present study, we show that human dendritic cells (DC) that matured in the presence of anti-inflammatory molecules such as calcitriol, PGE2, or IL-10 (alternatively activated DC) selectively secrete the potent angiogenic cytokine vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) isoforms V...
متن کاملWater jet: a promising method for cutting optical glass.
We present an alternative method for cutting optical glass. It works with a high-pressure fluid, carring abrasive powder. This technique offers some advantages over conventional methods that use diamond abrasive covered wires or disks. We make a critical comparison between those two techniques, characterizing cuts with interferometric, polarimetric, and Ronchi testing. The main feature of the w...
